Cassette sleeve design for Audio Obscura aka Neil Stringfellow.
Whilst always resisting the temptation to be too literal, admittedly this one grew from the title. My intuition was to do something that held the state of contradiction between the idea of experiencing the cosmic and yet also being finite, embodied and tethered.
I also thoroughly enjoyed playing with the conventions of cassette design typography by deliberately putting the title on the reverse, and the credits on the spine, with just circles to represent sides one and two, just because.
I had initially wanted this to be packaged in a neon yellow case, but Neil was right and we chose light blue instead, it’s cold in space apparently.
