︎Client – Audio Obscura / Neil Stringfellow
︎Role – CD cover design / Illustration

My good friend Neil Stringfellow commissioned me to produce the sleeve for his recent Western Wind album. Western Wind is a traditional lyric-poem dating from 1150-1500 C.E.

He gave my a completely open brief, which was great because I had to think on my feet, so I decided to produce an improvised photoshop collage one Sunday.

It took me the entire day, with a couple of tea breaks to piece it together, but it was really fun to do, as it took me back to my days of crazy Photoshop experiments after leaving college. In a way it’s my nod to my favourite surrealists – Max Ernst, Rene Magritte, Joseph Cornell and Giorgio de Chirico.
